Raffaele Riva Is a Paragon of Business Success

As Raffaele Riva continues to rack up successes in the financial world, a question begins to repeat itself. Who is he? Who is this multi-talented leader and advisor who has been able to find so many paths forward across countries and in different areas of finance and business?

The answer to that question is rooted in the fascinating and winding history of the man himself. To understand his leadership, his decisions, and why he continues to come out on top, it’s important to look back at how he came to be a pioneer in enterprise businesses.

It started with his education. Born in Italy, Raffaele Riva first went to college at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Milan. It was there that he first studied economics, and by the time he finished his first degree, graduating with honors, he had a strong grasp on business finances and economics.

Continuing his education, he earned a second degree in Milan, expanding on his expertise and growing his awareness and experience in all things related to business and finance.

At this point, he was more than qualified for work in the so-called real world, and he found himself working as an accountant for one of the “Big 4” companies. He cut his teeth there for several years and expanded his qualifications.

Before long, he was working as an assistant to the supervisor and even an assistant manager, and with those qualifications, he was ready to pursue bigger positions at other firms.

Over the next decade, Riva became a senior executive at a multinational conglomerate. He also served on the board of directors for companies in Europe, South Africa, and other countries. He was obtaining a wealth of knowledge and experience, and while he was already proving successful, all of this was still a mere stepping stone for where he was headed.

In 1997, Riva went back to school to work on his specialties. He worked on a degree at the Canton Ticino Management Business School. Upon completing that degree, he started a postgraduate study at the Southern Swiss University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

With more specialization under his belt, Riva redoubled his efforts in business, and this is where he started to grow his personal brand. From 1997 to 2008, he was a managing partner in more than a few advising businesses. He mastered the arts of corporate restructuring, wealth management, corporate financing, estate planning, international cross-border activities, and mergers and acquisitions.

Building on that success, he helped launch AUREA in 2008. As a co-founder and CEO, he grew AUREA into an enterprise business, and he helped launch and manage several subsidiary firms. Those additional firms include Aurea Getioni Patrimonialia, SA, BGB AUREA Ltd., and Milano Fiduciaria. Riva has served as the chairman of three of these four companies.

Today, Raffaele Riva is trying to pair his passion for business with his passion for life. He continues to be an indispensable member of the AUREA multi-family office. Meanwhile, he is finding more time to pursue his passions for skiing, diving, racing, show jumping, and collecting art. He remains a dual citizen of both Italy and Switzerland, and fluent in French, English, and Italian, he is primed to continue his success at AUREA and anything he strives for in the future.
