4 things you should never give to a house clearance firn
People generally throw away a huge amount of things before moving to another city or when moving into into a new house. They often just give items to the company they have booked to deal with the clearance, collection and proper disposal of waste materials.
There are lots of things in the average house which can be reused, time after time. In this post we'll look at the things that you should never give to a house clearance service and instead, use them again in a unique way. Here they are:
Containers
If you're planning to throw food containers which are in a good state, then stop! These can be useful in so many other ways that you have probably not thought of.
For instance, an empty yogurt container can become a seasoning container; large plastic containers can be turned into toy boxes, a crate to store eggs, a container for candies, etc. Many such items can be used or recycled to store various items. Helpful, right?
Newspapers/paper
Newspapers and other large sheets of paper are never useless in our opinion. Newspapers make extremely good window cleaners, just spray some water and rub the window using a sheet of newspaper and it will come up clean and shiny instantly. You can also pad your windows with newspapers in the winter to stop cold droughts coming into the house.
Newspapers are useful for packing items to protect from dust and scratches while you're moving house. Newspapers are also good to use for arts and crafts fun with the kids - there's all sorts you can do like make pirates hats, magic wands, try your hand at making paper mache.
Leftover food and vegetables
Are you interested in gardening? If you are, then don't throw away food scraps and leftover veggies. Instead, use them as mulch for your garden plants. Trust me, it will prove to be a healthy and nutritious organic matter for your plants. If you have orange or lemon leftovers then you can use them to make your house smell nice; just dry them in the sunlight and keep them in the entrance or in an airy corner of the house.
Glass jars
Glass jam jars are always useful to reuse. You can keep stationery items in empty jars, place a scented candle inside, fill them with herbs or spices to keep in the kitchen, even use them as spoon holders on the dining table.
Keeping your house clutter-free is a good habit but think about other uses for certain items before you throw them away or give them to a house clearance service.
