Britain’s most beautiful vineyards and wineries have been revealed in a new study by the consumer spending experts at money.co.uk.

The study analysed over 100,000 Instagram hashtags associated with 693 vineyards listed on The Great British Vineyards Guide to crown the most picturesque in Britain.

Denbies Wine Estate, located in the Surrey Hills, is the most picturesque vineyard in Britain. A previous winner at the WineGB Awards, Denbies Wine Estate offers wine tasting, alongside two restaurants and a hotel with outstanding views of the 265-acre estate.

2. Llanerch Vineyard (Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales)

Llanerch Vineyard in South Wales is Britain’s second most picturesque vineyard. In addition to producing award-winning wine, Llanerch Vineyard is less than 25 minutes outside Cardiff city centre and is home to a restaurant, hotel and cookery school.

Known for being one of the earliest commercial vineyards in the UK, the Bolney Wine Estate now produces award-winning premium red, white, rosé and sparkling English wines. Located in Haywards Heath, Sussex, visitors can indulge in tours, tastings, walks along the vineyard trails and a restaurant which overlooks the ripening vines. 

5. Three Choirs Vineyard (Gloucestershire, England)

Located in the Cotswolds countryside, the Three Choirs Vineyard is the fifth most beautiful vineyard in Britain. The 75 acre estate is one of the largest and oldest in the UK, and currently offers tours, tastings and tapas at its on-site restaurant.

6. Wyken Vineyard (Suffolk, England)

The sixth most beautiful vineyard in Britain is the Wyken Vineyard, situated on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Once occupied by the Romans and recorded in Domesday, the ancient estate of Wyken is not only home to a seven-acre vineyard, but also a flock of shetland sheep, a traditional orchard and kitchen garden which supplies the estate’s Michelin Guide restaurant.

Hambledon Vineyard is Britain’s seventh most beautiful vineyard. Founded in 1952, Hambledon Vineyard is England’s oldest commercial vineyard and prides itself on it’s award winning English Sparkling Wines which are produced by the only fully gravity fed winery in the UK.

10. Biddenden Vineyard (Kent, England)

Rounding out the top 10 most beautiful wineries in Britain is Biddenden Vineyard in Kent. Producing award-winning wines, ciders and juices, visitors to Biddenden Vineyard can experience self-guided or private tours, and browse local produce in the vineyard shop.
