Advantages of newspaper advertising
As a former editor I can assure you that adverting in printed newspapers is a diminishing return. Why?

And, unlike digital advertising, it is very difficult to measure your return on investment.
You won't know who has read your advert, wether it interested them or if they engaged with it.
Compare that to advertising on, say, Facebook and difference is stark.
You can see at a glance who has engaged with paid for social media content... and you can target your audience.
Not only that, digital advertising can cost pence.
As someone who spent 20 years in the newspaper industry, it pains me to say that I have never use print to promote any of my new businesses.
